Blueberry or Cherry Cobbler in the Microwave

!±8± Blueberry or Cherry Cobbler in the Microwave

Summer is here and that can make it difficult to make desserts such as cobblers for your family. Who wants to turn on the oven and get the house even warmer than it already is just to cook dessert for your family? This recipe is for making a cobbler in the microwave. By using your microwave you keep your home cooler, don't have to slave in a hot kitchen, and can make the cobbler faster than with your oven. And your family will love you for it.

Ingredients

2 (21 oz) can blueberry or cherry pie filling

1 tsp. grated orange peel

1/4 tsp ground nutmeg

1/2 cup milk

3 Tbs marg. softened

2 Tbs sugar

1/4 tsp cinnamon

2 cups Bisquick Mix

Vanilla ice cream

Combine filling, orange peel, and nutmeg in deep rectangle shaped microwave container. (I use Tupperware's Large Deep Rock N Serve container)

Microwave uncovered at 70% power for 8 minutes or until hot, stirring twice.

Combine remaining ingredients in a separate bowl and beat vigorously 20 strokes. Drop 12 dumplings onto the hot filling. Microwave uncovered at 70% power for 10 to 14 minutes or until dumplings are no longer doughy.

Serve warm with vanilla ice cream.

Make this one for your family. Give them something to smile about during those hot summer months.
